With Hungary locked in fourth place and Japan already relegated the two teams could "play free" in the last game.

Hungary took a 3-0 lead after the second period, but Team Japan came back with two goals in the 3^rd period and created some excitement.

Hungary, though, turned up the pace and scored twice within 13 seconds to make it 5-2 and the game was decided.

Final score Hungary 6, Japan 3.
