After 21 minutes Austria extended their lead to 2-0 by a goal from Paul Reiner and had control of the game.

But Team Germany didn’t give up and started a comeback. Tobias Schwarz reduced the Austria lead and shortly after the second break Tobias Lewandowski scored the equalizer.

In the 43rd minute Lenny Boos brought Team Germany into the lead and scored what should be the last goal of the game.

Three points and the perfect start for the Germans who dominated the shots 27-17.
